Welcome to the 19th CIRP Conference on Life Cycle Engineering 2012 held at University of California Berkeley in Berkeley, California.


The 19th CIRP LCE conference continues a tradition of scientific meetings in the area of Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) under the auspices of the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP). The scope of the conference is to review and discuss improvements, new developments and future directions in research and industry by providing an international forum for researchers.


The venue is the University of California's flagship campus at Berkeley in the San Francisco Bay area. The campus is a renowned academy and place of research, but additionally the hotbed of many movements in science, society, culture, and politics. Enjoy this ambience to focus on technology and sustainability within Life Cycle Engineering.


LCE 2012 follows the 4th CIRP Conference on Assembly Technology and Systems - CATS 2012 to be held in the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA on May 21-23, 2012.

We have been granted funding from NSF to support selected under-graduate students, graduate students and post-doctoral fellows studying in the U.S. The support will cover registration fees as well as provide $150 for travel expenses. Please apply by April 6, 2012 April 27, 2012 with this application FORM.
